Food Africa is an excellent chance for these enterprises to train export cadres so that they can effectively participate in specialized international fairs and make direct contact with importers.

The council is a major partner in the exhibition as part of its ambition to increase Egyptian food exports, which are expected to reach $3.5 billion by 2020, accounting for 14 percent of total Egyptian non-oil exports.

It also emphasized international exhibitions specializing in export development as one of the most essential methods of international marketing.

According to the findings of a study conducted by the council, the council conducted a promotional campaign for the exhibition in collaboration with the Egyptian Commercial Representation and the Foreign Office to invite and host importers of processed foods in various markets important to the Egyptian food sector.

The council stated that it is collaborating with international partners and development initiatives to assist the participation of small and medium-sized businesses in the exhibition in order to expand the export base.

According to the council, major international participation is expected this year, with pavilions from 22 countries, the most important of which are India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Poland, Pakistan, Belarus, and Russia, which is participating for the first time with a large pavilion involving 30 Russian companies.

During previous editions, the show gained widespread local and international acclaim and is regarded as Africa's greatest meeting of food producers.
