In cooperation with Al-Kharafi Activity Center for Kids with Special Needs

Stemming from a sincere commitment to their social responsibility roles - and in celebration of Back-to-School season and the return to a pre-COVID sense of normalcy - Grand Hyatt Kuwait and Hyatt Regency Kout Mall, in collaboration with Al-Kharafi Center for Kids with Special Needs, hosted a joyous brunch for 60 differently-abled children. The event, which featured a number of fun activities, aimed at getting the children excited and ready for the long-awaited normal return to the school year, following the two-year COVID-19 mandated closure of schools and recreational facilities.

Commenting on the event, Philma Gomes-Ellis, Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing at Grand Hyatt Kuwait, said: “Hosting these spirited children over a delightful brunch with Hyatt Regency was inspired greatly by the Hyatt ethos and joyous outlook, which invites us to rejoice in life, especially now that life is slowly returning to its pre-COVID flow – as it was before we all had to deal with mandates, quarantine and curfews. We this special brunch we were also eager to offer an exquisite hospitality experience to these wonderful children, allowing us to live out and demonstrate the values of giving and community service that we stand for as a brand.”

Gomes-Ellis added that as two of the biggest hospitality entities worldwide, Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency Kout Mall always seek to provide their guests with memorable experiences that are marked with ease, luxury, and all-around entertainment; values that both hotels’ administrations, in collaboration with Al-Kharafi team, aimed to replicate during the brunch; creating an environment of optimism and excitement to see the children through their return to school and to social life.

After a wonderful morning of fun, games, and delightful times, the Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency Kout Mall teams wrapped up the exclusive brunch event by handing out valuable gifts to the children. On her part, Gomes-Ellis expressed her gratitude to both the Hyatt Regency and Al-Kharafi teams for their efforts in making this a successful event. She further noted that the Grand Hyatt brand in Kuwait is here to offer a signature prestigious hotel experience and premium-quality services in line with the highest international standards – but the brand is also here to be an active and engaged part of the local community. This comes in line with the Grand Hyatt Kuwait’s unwavering commitment to giving back to the community through an integrated program that reflects the social responsibility it holds as a grand, prestigious institution.
