Burgan Bank Organizes a Health Awareness Workshop for its Staff in Cooperation with Kuwait Hospital

As part of its Prostate Cancer Awareness Month campaign, and in line with its social responsibility program

Burgan Bank organized a health awareness workshop on prostate cancer for its staff, in collaboration with Kuwait Hospital, as part of its activities for the month of November on prostate cancer awareness. Held at the Bank’s head office, the workshop aimed at spreading awareness among employees about the disease, and shedding light on ways to prevent it. This comes as part of Burgan's comprehensive social responsibility strategy, and its continuous efforts to ensure the welfare of its employees, as one of its main strategic pillars.

The workshop hosted Dr. Nasser AlQuraini, a Consultant of Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Geriatric Oncology and Palliative Medicine at Kuwait Hospital. During his talk, Dr. Nasser provided valuable information and facts to the audience about prostate cancer. He explained its different types and methods of treatment depending on multiple medical diagnoses. He also answered questions posed by Burgan Bank employees, mainly focused on ways to prevent the disease and reduce the chances of developing this type of cancer.

Commenting on the workshop, Ms. Reema Al Asbahi, Senior Manager - Internal Communications - Human Resources and Development at Burgan, said: "We thank Dr. Nasser AlQuraini for presenting this awareness workshop on prostate cancer, which provided very important information about what this disease is and how to be proactive in preventing and treating it."
