Burgan Bank Continues its Support for the ‘Let's Be Aware’ Financial Literacy Campaign

To promote financial literacy and banking awareness amongst bank customers and within the community at large

Burgan bank is continuing its support of the “Let's Be Aware” (Diraya) financial awareness campaign, sponsoring and participating in various internal and external activities to promote the campaign’s key messages. In line with the Bank’s social responsibility program and under the umbrella of its sustainability platform, Burgan showcased the campaign recently during its participation in the Grand Prix of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation (KEF) Tour, as well as the Australian University (AU) Career Fair, Dar Al Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiya’s (DAI) Fall Festival, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare and its First Padel Tournament.

Burgan Bank dedicates a lot of effort, especially through the events it participates in, to spreading banking and financial awareness across society; sharing the “Let’s Be Aware” key messages through printed material, as well as informative conversations with the event attendees. Besides its on-ground efforts, the Bank also utilizes its social channels to disseminate educational content on financial literacy, cybersecurity, and the full range of the “Let’s Be Aware” key messages. Burgan also uses its social channels to raise awareness about its products and services, and how customers can reap the highest benefit from using them.

On her part, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager of Corporate and CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, stated: “Through the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign, we aim to create a wave of awareness regarding vital banking and financial knowledge. Through this, we can help individuals and companies avoid unsound practices that may jeopardize the safety of their personal information, putting them at risk of digital financial fraud. We also are eager to make the most of our presence at various events to inform the public of the banking products and services that we offer, as well as the best practices that they can adopt for a seamless banking experience.”

Under the umbrella of the “Let’s Be Aware” campaign, Burgan Bank continues to spread financial and banking literacy through a wide range of activities and events, raising the public’s awareness about their financial rights and obligations. The financial literacy content that the Bank shares through its social channels covers many topics, including: the different types of loans and funds, banking cards, and investment programs, in addition to the role that the banking sector plays in Kuwait. Other topics that Burgan Bank sheds light on as part of its educational and awareness campaign are the special services and products that are particularly designed for the Bank’s specially-abled customers, as well as their rights. All this is delivered as part of Burgan’s comprehensive social responsibility program.
