Burgan Bank Pioneers Once More by Being the First to Offer Digital Salary Certificates to its Employees

In addition to opening a Rewards Store for the staff as part of its digital transformation strategy and reinforcement of the work environment

Burgan Bank announced the launch of Digital Salary Certificates for its staff, pinning a new first in the Kuwaiti banking sector. Furthermore, the Bank launched a new Rewards Store, available on its staff mobile application, which sets to enrich Burgan work environment with motivation and creativity, while reinforcing a culture of positive job performance.

In launching the new digital salary certificates for employees, the Bank seeks to remain in line with the latest in technological solutions and benefits – and the most secure. This also factors into Burgan’s continued efforts to implement its digital transformation strategy across its operations, including on the human resources front. This component of the Bank’s strategy aims at boosting employee satisfaction and retention, and providing them with comprehensive, leading professional and managerial experiences. In addition, the release of digital employee certificates also serves the Bank’s sustainability endeavors, seeing how it contributes effectively to the Bank’s efforts in reducing unnecessary use of paper, and consequently reducing waste.

On his part, Mr. Ali Akbar, Head of Human Resources and Development at Burgan Bank, said: “The Human Resources Department had reached a phenomenal volume of annually released paper salary certificates for staff, which we then managed to reduce by placing a dedicated centralizing the operations at our head office. However, as we seek to stay abreast of the latest technologies, we decided to completely and securely automate the process of salary certificate issuance through the staff mobile application, which is regarded one of the most technologically advanced intenral banking applications in Kuwait.”
