MBC Shuts Down Wanasah TV After Nearly 19 Years

MBC Group has officially discontinued the broadcast of Wanasah TV, bringing an end to a journey that lasted nearly 19 years.

The channel, which launched in 2007 under the supervision of Saudi artist Rashed Al Majed, became one of the most prominent platforms dedicated to Gulf music.

With the closure of Wanasah, MBC Group is introducing MBC Mood, a new brand aimed at a broader audience of music and entertainment fans.

The channel is expected to leverage the integration of traditional television and digital platforms, reflecting a more modern approach to music content and audience engagement.

Throughout its years on air, Wanasah played a significant role in supporting Gulf and Arabic music, helping promote the work of numerous artists.

The channel also became closely associated with the memories of an entire generation of viewers who followed its music videos, exclusive releases, and live performances.
