Burgan Bank has sponsored the sixth competition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation (KEF) Tour for the 2022-2023 showjumping season, which was held at the Kuwait Riding Center (KRC) venue. The sponsorship comes in line with the Bank’s continued efforts to support and promote Kuwait’s sports sector, a vital element of the Bank’s comprehensive social responsibility program.
On the first day of the league’s sixth competition, equestrian Abdullah AlRoudan was able to take first place, followed by the equestrians Abdullah AlAwadhi and Antonio Murruzzu in second and third places, respectively. On the second day, equestrian Bjorn Kuwertz won first place, followed by Annaz AlAnnaz in second and Antonio Murruzzu in third.
Speaking about the Bank’s sponsorship of the tour, Ms. Hessa Hussain Al-Najadah, Senior Manager – Corporate & CSR Communications at Burgan Bank, said: “I would like to congratulate all the winners of the sixth competition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation Tour for their hard work, talent and commitment to the sport. Your achievements will serve as an inspiration to our younger generations and will provide us with further confidence to continue fostering the wealth of athletic talent we have in Kuwait.”
She added: “As a leading financial institution, Burgan Bank remains passionate about promoting sports in Kuwait, especially sporting competitions that pay tribute to Kuwait’s rich equestrian heritage. We pledge to continue supporting aspiring athletes, sports organizations and official national bodies to help elevate the status of sports in Kuwait, in line with the Bank’s community commitment and social responsibility efforts.”
It is worth noting that Burgan Bank’s sponsorship of the KEF tour began in 2021. The ongoing sponsorship and strategic partnership come as part of the Bank’s expansive social responsibility program, a big portion of which focuses on promoting and reinforcing the sports culture in Kuwait.
